General Information
RunGiving 5k and Fun Run will be a local run or walk that will work to provide items for the Broad Street Ministry Center's food pantry and clothing room. This ministry assists senior citizens, disabled people, and our local homeless population. Come join Run the Tangents Timing on Thanksgiving morning to give thanks through running and giving back to the community with a non-perishable food donation before the run. The food collected at the race will be donated and for each food item donated, runners will be given a raffle ticket for entry to win a prize (prize yet to be determined).
Please note that there are no refunds and there will be a 30 minutes weather delay (if needed).
START/FINISH
The 5k run will start at 9 a.m. and finish at Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) and will continue onto the canal towpath. This route will be primarily concrete with some gravel and dirt.
The Fun Run will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Mill Village Trailhead as well and we will go out to a cone on the path and turn around to return to the start line.
REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until November 27, 2025 at 8:45 a.m. Race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by October 26, 2025. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Packet pickup will be open on 11/27/2025 at 8:00 a.m. and close 8:50 a.m.
Early Packet Pickup is scheduled for 11/26/2025 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fleet Feet Augusta, 229 Fury's Ferry Road, Augusta, Georgia 30907.
Registration prices
5K without a shirt are $20 through race day (choose with shirt option with no shirt)
5K with a shirt is $20 through 2/1/2025, $25 through 10/26/2025, $30 through 11/26/2025, and $35 race day
Virtual runner registration is $25 through 8 a.m. on race day
Note: All runners who register by October 26, 2025 will be guaranteed to receive an official race shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis until they are gone.
Runners will be given race packets that include a Thanksgiving themed unisex t-shirt plus items from local sponsors and/or discounts on products.
Age Groups and Awards
Age Groups are 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 - 79, and 80 + male and female plus top 3 overall. Awards will be determined closer to the event date. Chip Timed with awards based on Gun Times.
Parking
Parking will be available at the The Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 1833 Broad St., Augusta, Georgia 30904.
