Welcome to Augusta!

IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta returns to the Garden City as one of the largest half IRONMAN® events in the world! 

 

The IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta consists of a 1.2-mile down-current swim in the Savannah River, a 56-mile bike ride and finishes with a 13.1-mile run throughout downtown Augusta, adding up to 70.3 miles of total racing.

IMPACT BY THE NUMBERS

LOCAL ECONOMIC IMPACT

Since it's inception in 2009, the IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta has generated more than $20 million dollars in economic impact for the city of Augusta. 

OFFICIAL QUALIFIER

The 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta will offer 40 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupō, New Zealand.

 


VOLUNTEER TEAM

More than 1,600 volunteers are utilized for the IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta each year.

LASTING IMPACT

To date, the IRONMAN Foundation has awarded a total of $143,943 in grant funding to 130 non-profit organizations in Augusta's River Region.
