Staff
Tammy Stout, Executive Director: Tammy has worked in the non-profit event arena in Augusta since 1988. Having honed skills in event planning with several city organizations, taking on sports marketing full time was a natural when accepting the position of Executive Director for the Augusta Sports Council in 1995.
She often shares the success of the Augusta model with cities across the country. Tammy has been a member of the National Association of Sports Commission since 1992 and has rotated on and off the board, currently serving through 2010. A member of the first CSEE graduating class, Tammy earned the Certified Sporting Event Executive designation in 2001.
Not an expert in any particular sport, Tammy admires the dedication of athletes across the board. An army brat, she has called Augusta home since 1988.
Randy DuTeau, Sport Development Manager: Randy will soon be entering his fifth year with the Augusta Sports Council. His interest in the field grew from his lifetime involvement in cycling. The former top-ranked Georgia cyclist began promoting events in 1992, leading to positions at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and Paralympics. Before moving back to Augusta in 2004 Randy served as the facility manager of the Olympic Shooting Complex, and also as the operations manager for Tour de Georgia. He joined the Augusta Sports Council in 2005.. He lives in Augusta with his wife, Chele and their two children.
Carly Kobasiar, Marketing Manager: Carly began her marketing and event planning career in 2000 as an intern with the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame. Soon after, she was hired by the Augusta Sports Council as Events Manager, a position she held from 2001-2005. Carly continued to hone her skills in both the government and corporate sectors, including a three-year tenure as a meeting and trade show planner for worldwide golf and utility vehicle manufacturer, Club Car Ingersoll Rand. Carly returned to the Augusta Sports Council in April 2009 in the position of Sales & Marketing Manager, where she is responsible for membership and partnership sales, marketing, communications and public relations.
A Michigan native, Carly has called Augusta home for more than 20 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Georgia State University in May 2000. Though she considers herself a far better spectator than athlete, Carly is a fan of all sports, especially Georgia Tech football! Carly lives in Evans, GA, with her bichon frise, Maggie.
