The USTA Georgia Mixed Doubles State Championships will be held in Augusta this weekend, August 13-16. Matches will take place at venues throughout the area including Newman Tennis Center, Petersburg Racquet Club, Fleming Tennis Center, Diamond Lakes Park, The Club at Rae's Creek, Westlake Country Club and Riverview Park.
Tournament matches begin Friday with round robin matches leading to single elimination playoffs. The top eight will then go to a play-off on Sunday, August 15, starting at 2:00 pm. The final championship match will take place on Monday. Admission is free for all matches.
The USTA Georgia Mixed Doubles State Championships will attract more than 1,100 athletes to Augusta for the fifth year in a row. The tournament will produce an economic impact of approximately $800,000.
