The Greater Augusta Sports Council announced the Augusta Chronicle has signed on as the title sponsor for the inaugural Augusta Half Marathon running festival bringing you The Augusta Chronicle Half Marathon Festival. The event will be held the weekend of October 25 and 26, 2008. University Health Systems and Georgia Bank and Trust have also joined the Sports Council and the City of Augusta in sponsoring the new event.
